Convertox: Oxide converter
Reference: 2079
Convertox converts rust into a compound that prevents it from spreading. Use on rusty surfaces where thorough cleaning is not possible.

Description
Polymer that, through a chemical reaction, converts rust into a protective coating on iron without having to remove it. It neutralizes the corrosion process. It reacts rapidly with iron oxide, producing a bluish coating on the oxidized iron and transforms it into a metal-organic complex, creating a neutral, blackish, insoluble, and stable protective layer, which is ready to be painted after the reaction.

Uses:
Product formulated to passivize and neutralize rust residue on ferrous metals.

Preparation of the substrate:
Remove all traces of old paint and the most significant traces of rust from the substrate. Remove all traces not adhering to the substrate and clean all dust and grease.

Storage:
Keep the paint in its original, tightly closed container and in places above 5°C and below 40°C.

Application:
Shake the product to re-incorporate the precipitate that forms at the bottom of the container until completely smooth.
Apply one, two, or three coats, depending on the degree of rust, at approximately 3-hour intervals. Before painting, ensure that the surface is completely dry.
Preferably, use a stiff brush to aid penetration into the rust.
Avoid allowing the product to sag on the surface.
Application with a roller, spray gun, or by dipping is acceptable.
Once the coats of CONVERTOX have been applied, wait 6 hours before applying the finishing product. Dilute and clean the materials with water. Avoid contamination with other organic solvents or other products.
